Uncle Tom and Aunt Flo

I had a friend who referred to her period as "Uncle Tom" for "Time Of Month." And we all know about Aunt Flo.

Anyway, as of last night, I'm battling them. I know you are all poised in anticipation for updates of my menstrual cycle, so I thought I'd share.

Actually, I bring it up because I'm trying out the Mooncup for the first time and I'm letting you know that a thorough review will be forthcoming.

I know you all just can't wait.

  1. I'm surprised you even started while nursing both kiddos! I hope mine doesn't come back for a year. Last time it was 10 months. Hoping tandem nursing would put it off longer.

  2. Cassie- I got my period back at 5.5 months postpartum with Margaret. And with Isaac and tandem nursing.... 5.5 months yet again. It just won't leave me alone! I'm nowhere near fertile, though. My LP has just jumped up from <24 hours to 3 days. Big steps!

  3. I started my period again about 14/15 months after Ethan was born. I just started using the DivaCup a couple months ago, and I LOVE it. Interested to see what you think of the MoonCup. :)

  4. Poor you. I had one yr free after my daughter was born. And I am actually interested in your review. I tried the Instead (similar concept, but dispose after one day) just to see if I would like a cup, but I did not like it. TMI: my hands are small, my arms are short and I nearly had a panic attack trying to get the sucker (ha) out.

  5. To the comment about the Instead cup....reusable cups (like a Diva or Moon cup) are WAY different!!!! I have a Diva Cup that I like. I can't believe you start menstruating again so soon, even with so much nursing! I didn't start until 17 months pp with Bug, and I have yet to after Gizmo (he's not quite 11 months though, so I figure I have about 6 or so more months.)

  7. I started using the Diva cup about a year ago and despite the ridiculous name I highly recommend the product.
