Sometimes when Isaac latches on in the middle of the night, he's not fully awake.

People ask how long my baby sleeps and I tell the truth. She closes her eyes at about 7:30 and doesn't open them until somewhere between 5:30 and 6:30.
ReplyDeleteShe sleeps draped across me and occasionally next to me and nurses freely all night. I know she's hungry when her arm flails and she squeaks, so I make sure she can latch on. I rarely open both eyes and I can count the two times in November that she opened her eyes at all during the night.
We both get wonderful, restful sleep, we get to bond all night long, I *know* she is happy and safe all night and I think all the good sleep and good nutrition contributes to both of us being in such good moods all the time.
